This award is designed to recognise the most ethical, socially responsible, or green business.

Micro Business Award

Celebrating micro businesses punching above their weight with 9 employees or less.

Start-up Business Award

Open to start-up businesses operating for under two years in any business sector.


Family Business Award

Majority ownership remains with the family and at least two family members working in the business.


Young Entrepreneur Award

For entrepreneurs who have demonstrated the traits to achieve a level of business success that belies their age.

Community Award

Open to businesses who partake in initiatives that support their local community.


Innovation Award

For businesses where bold, new business models and innovative products are delivering dramatic results.

Self-Employed/Freelancer Award

Recognising Freelancers and the self-employed and celebrating the tenacity and drive it takes to go it alone.

Expansion and Growth Award

Celebrating the larger small businesses who have expanded to 10-250 full and/or part-time employees.

Regions and nations award winners

Finalists across twelve areas now proceed to the national UK finals taking place at a VIP attended awards ceremony on 9 May in Blackpool.
